The Site Council at Capitol Hill has standing sub-committees that meet throughout the year to address specific areas of work. We invite you to join us and welcome your involvement in these committees.
Communications and Outreach Committee
Purpose: "The Outreach and Communications Committee shall ensure that stakeholders within the Capitol Hill community are given notice and kept informed of the Site Council's activities…; disseminate information about Capitol Hill Magnet School and its programs outside of the Capitol Hill community; and perform such other duties as deemed appropriate by the Site Council." SCIP/Budget Committee
Purpose: "The School Continuous Improvement Plan Committee shall develop and evaluate the implementation of the School Continuous Improvement Plan; annually recommend the adoption of the School Continuous Improvement Plan, with District's approval; and perform such other duties as deemed appropriate by the Site Council."
"The Budget Committee shall plan and prioritize the School's budget; annually recommend the adoption of the School's budget; plan and prioritize the Site Council's budget; annually recommend the adoption of the Site Council's budget; and perform such other duties as deemed appropriate by the Site Council." Membership Committee
Purpose: "The Membership Committee shall oversee the annual membership election, member appointments, and officer elections, …; maintain accurate election and appointment records; and perform such other duties as deemed appropriate by the Site Council." Site Council by-laws

Second Language Task Force:
Purpose: To adequately prepare our students for the future, instruction in a second language must be a part of the academic curriculum. All Capitol Hill students will be conversant in two or more world languages. This task force will build broad support for the successful implementation of second language instruction at Capitol Hill.
