Principal’s Report:

  1. Present enrollment for 2007-08, update on numbers reported earlier this year as they affect the budget adjustment. If enrollment drops and Principal Mariucci feels there is a need to add students to classes to mitigate budget readjustment in January, this information will be brought back to Site Council.
  2. Capitol Hill will be receiving the Superintendent’s Academic award for School Improvement for 2006-07 for the 5th consecutive year
  3. Language scholarships were discussed; $3081.25 of the $25,000 budgeted has been expended.
  4. District is considering requiring junior high schools to go on standardized schedules next school year; Capitol Hill currently has semesters and would prefer to move to trimesters if a change is required.
  5. Principal Mariucci will be meeting with the Science coaches the impact of these changes. He will arrange for science teachers to present more information on this at the February Site Council meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
