Doing Good Together at Capitol Hill 10/27/2009 2:35 PM
Want to help plan our school's second annual “Doing Good Together at Capitol Hill” night? The event gives students a chance to take part in a number of fun, hands-on service projects that help the community and foster an ethic of service to others in our children.
Last year's event was a huge success – we made 300 sandwiches for the homeless through Catholic Charities, 80 fleece blankets for Mothers First and Agape House for Mothers, 125 greeting cards and “art projects in a bag” for patients at Children's Hospital and Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, 60 placemats for Meals on Wheels and 75 dog and cat toys for Underdog Rescue.
We need energetic parents to help us make this year's event even better. Please come if you can.
