Capitol Hill Magnet School is a full-time academically gifted and talented program for students in grades 1-8.  Learners experience a challenging academic program designed to develop skills in critical and creative thinking.   Our community nurtures a school climate of respect, high expectations, civic responsibility and cultural understanding.

Grandparents Day

DSC_0408Wednesday, Sept. 24th Grandparents and Special Friends visited Capitol Hill.  Classroom visits, performances, and snacks were part of this wonderful event.  Thank you so much to those who visited.  You help to make the Capitol Hill community special.

Changes for bus routes 281 and 300

Bus 300 afternoon route will be split between two busses, the second bus is route 16.  A notice went home with all students riding bus 300 today, Sept. 18th.  The morning route and times remain unchanged.Sutdents that ride bus 281 with a stop marked PM only will begin riding bus 271 AM only beginning on Friday 9/19/2008.  They will still take bus 281 home as usual.  This information was sent home with the students on Sept. 18th.  If you have questions, please call the Capitol Hill office.

Saakumu dance troupe visits Rondo

mainOn Friday, Feb. 15th the 1st-6th grade students were treated to a performance by the Saakumu dance troupe from Ghana, West Africa.  They were amazing!  Thanks to Diane Solenberger for arranging their visit.  Click above to see photographs.
