Guests: this meeting was held as an open forum; a dozen or more parents in addition to Site Council members attended.
General Procedures
Co-chair B. Ahern called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m.
Review and approval of the Minutes was postponed until the next meeting.
The Agenda was amended to include a report from the membership committee.

Membership Committee
Principal Mariucci, speaking on behalf of John Mayock, suggested that in light of the vote-count irregularities resulting in not being able to tell which of two parents was elected to the final slot on the Site Council, suggested employing the provision in the By-Laws of the Site Council which allow the Council to elect an additional parent and in this way elect both parents to the Council.
Administration Report
Principal Mariucci distributed and reviewed the Capitol Hill’s 07-08 School Comprehensive Improvement Plan. Included were the following topics (see handout):
- current funding structure
- description of the school program
- analysis of data regarding to achievement, MCA results, class size, school climate, etc.
- proposal of three outcomes and the associated strategies to achieve them.
Principal Mariucci fielded questions from the Site Council and gathered parents, and then entertained a motion to approve the 07-08 SCIP. The motion was made, seconded and approved.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05
