Challenging Academically Gifted and Talented Students in a Diverse School Community

Capitol Hill Magnet School is a full-time academically gifted and talented program for students in grades 1 – 8.  Learners experience a challenging academic program designed to develop skills in critical and creative thinking. Acceleration (fast-paced learning) combined with complex content allow for in-depth study.

Our community nurtures a school climate of respect, high expectations, civic responsibility and cultural understanding.

Admissions to Capitol Hill

Elementary (grades 1 – 6) admission is based on identification of gifted/talented status. Admissions to the secondary grades (7 – 8) is through open enrollment. See the Admissions section for related contacts, deadlines, information sessions and more.

Minnesota Rendezvous

DSC_0222_7Students in the 4th grade presented a reenactment of the Minnesota Rendezvous on Dec. 2nd.  The courtyards were filled with many interesting displays.  Students did an excellent job of showing us life in the early days of the state.

Site Council   Next meeting is February 8 at 5:30 pm.  January unofficial minutes are available.
PTO   Next meeting is Feburary 1 at 6:30 pm.  November minutes are available.
